This is a very good example of an early Linn Sondek and it sounds amazing. It has a few cosmetic issues and challenges – such as the knock on the left corner of the plinth, the crack on the lid and the missing counterweight gauge – but none of these obviously affect the sound and the flaws are reflected in the price, which is a few hundred less than I would normally charge for a turntable like this. I’ll even supply a set of electronic scales to set / reset the tracking weight should it be required in the future!
